Employee Spotlight

Coston familyYou may have seen him cutting down and trimming trees as part of the Vegetation Management crew at Wayne-White Electric. Or you may have recently seen him shopping on his horse at Kincaid’s. Either way, chances are you have probably come across Zack Coston at some point or another.

A line clearance foreman, he has been employed at Wayne-White for 18 years. His main duties include maintaining clearance of trees and brush to the powerline, but his favorite thing about the job is working with the brush crew on jobs where they can all be together. If you know the brush crews, you know they are a professional group that have fun personalities!

Growing up, Zack lived in Florida prior to moving to Fairfield his senior year. Prior to coming to Wayne- White, Coston was a contractor with Asplundh Tree Service. He also spent time in the Army, deploying to Iraq in February 2006 for a year.

Zack and his wife Taelor have two children: Cooper, 8 and Kate, 5. He obviously loves horses, owning 6, to go along with their 2 dogs Snoop and Doc. When he is not working or training horses, he can be found camping with the family or vacationing in Destin on the beach. The Costons also attend church at The Roads and are heavily involved with the Wayne County Saddle Club.

Throughout his time here, Zack’s favorite memories from work include the many pranks he (and others) have pulled on fellow employees. He also enjoys former employee Jerry White’s many stories that just keep getting better and better!
