While we believe it is one of the best protection units on the market, nothing is 100% effective and certainly lightning strikes can enter your home through coax cable from your satellite or antennae and also through telephone line, but this KENICK unit is very helpful for surges that roll through power lines. All of the units have a 15-year manufacturers warranty from KENICK. The meter base surge protector can be purchased and installed outright for just over $200 total. (Contact our office for the exact amount including tax.) This would also include us maintaining it for the 15-year warranty period.
