We have mentioned in previous editions of the newsletter, we have several different incentive rebate programs related to making your home more efficient. These rebates are made possible through a program offered by our generation and transmission cooperative, Hoosier Energy.
The last day to turn in a rebate for the 2025 year is December 15, 2025. Any rebates received after that will not be processed until January 2026.
As a reminder, our rebate offerings include incentives on air source, dual fuel, geothermal and mini-split heat pumps, hybrid water heaters, HVAC tune-ups, and electric outdoor equipment. If you purchase any of these items to make your home more efficient and they meet the qualifications outlined in the program, you could be eligible to receive money back on your purchase!
With the holiday shopping season upon us, we know some folks may be getting some outdoor equipment as gifts. Items such as electric weed eaters, trimmers, leaf blowers, saws, and more can qualify for 50% back on your purchase, up to $50.
Is your heater having a hard time keeping up with the cold weather? If you purchase a new heat pump, you might qualify for an incentive of $300, $400, or $500 depending on the SEER2 efficiency rating of the unit. Geothermal units offer a $2,000 rebate, whereas mini-split units have a $500 rebate for whole home units and $300 for single-room units.
