If so, we encourage you to enroll in Connect to Save, a new program available for Wayne-White Electric Cooperative residential members.
What is Connect to Save?
When temperatures soar or plummet, home heating and cooling use also increases, creating an “energy rush hour.” Electric cooperatives require more generation to meet the higher demand, which in turn drives up power costs. By lowering energy use throughout our system during times of peak demand, we can lower our power costs. Because electric cooperatives are not-for-profit, those savings are then passed on to you.
Thus, Connect to Save rewards you for allowing us to adjust your thermostat energy use during certain peak periods in the winter and summer. Together, we can work to lower costs. Adjusting the thermostat temperature just a few degrees is all it takes to help keep power costs down.
Upon enrollment approval, you will receive an initial bill credit incentive of $75 per device enrolled. Each year after that, you will receive an additional $25 bill credit per enrolled device.
Eligible devices currently include: Ecobee, Google Nest, Sensi, Honeywell Home, and Total Connect Comfort.
**Wayne-White Electric members participating in the generator program would not be eligible for this program.**
