Three-Phase Commercial & Industrial

& Consumer-Owned Transformer

 

Type of Service                                                                                                       

Three-Phase, 60 Hertz, at the following voltage(s): 120/240 V or 240/480 V or 120/208V or    277/480 V.

 

Availability

Available for commercial and industrial service for all uses including lighting, heating, and power subject to the rules and regulations as established or as may be from time to time adopted by the Cooperative.

 

Conditions of Service

1.  Motors having a rating in excess of 15 horsepower (15HP) should be three-phase.

2.  All wiring, pole lines, and other electrical equipment furnished by the Consumer ahead and/or  beyond the metering point, shall be considered the distribution system of the Consumer and shall be maintained by the Consumer.

 

Rate Per Month

Facility Charge                                     $30.00

Demand Charge                                   $9.00/kW

First 5,000 kWh                                   $0.0600/kWh

Next 20,000 kWh                                $0.0500/kWh  

Balance                                                $0.04500/kWh

 

The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand as established by the Consumer for any period of fifteen consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter.

 

Discount

A consumer that has assumed the responsibility and expense of their transformer, a discount equal to 2 percent of the amount of the Consumer’s net bill will be allowed.

 

Wholesale Purchase Power Cost Adjustment

The energy charges in the above rate shall be increased or decreased by 0.11 mill per kWh for each 0.10 mill, or major fraction thereof, by which the cooperative’s total wholesale power cost per kWh purchased for the preceding month exceeds or is less than 4.27 cents per kWh.  This provision applies only when approved by the Board of Directors.

 

Power Factor

The Consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable.  The Cooperative reserves the right to measure such power factor at any time.  Should such measurements indicated that the power factor at the times of his maximum demand is less than 90%, the demand for billing purposes shall be the demand as indicated or recorded by the demand meter, multiplied by 90% and divided by the percent power factor.

 


Minimum Charge

As specified in the Contract for Service.  For members requiring more than 25 kVA of transformer capacity, the minimum monthly charge shall be increased by $1.50 for each kVA or fraction thereof required in excess of 25 kVA or as specified in the Contract for Service.

 

 

Terms of Payment

The above rates are net, the gross rates being 10% higher.  In the event the current monthly bill is not paid by the 10th of the current month, the gross rate shall apply.                    

 

 

Tax Clause

In addition to the charges herein provided for, the consumer shall reimburse and pay the Seller an amount equal to any state or local taxes accessed or charged for the sale or furnishing of electricity by the Seller to the consumer; said amounts to be added to the consumer’s monthly bills.
